Flowers: Photography & Watercolor
To keep myself from going totally stir crazy during the early months of the Covid pandemic, I started wandering the streets of Boston, taking closeup photos of flowers, and then emailing a "Flower of the Day" to friends and colleagues. That project has evolved into a fascination with macro flower photography which I've only begun to explore.
You will also find what look like watercolor images interspersed among the photos. These aren't true watercolors; rather photos that I have altered, using various techniques in Photoshop, to produce a watercolor-like image. I then print them on watercolor paper. I find that I can retain certain elements that would be difficult, if not impossible, to produce in a true watercolor image. For me, the results often combine the best of both worlds!
